On arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet our representative and later get transferred to Kaziranga National Park: which is in the heart of Assam, 200 km (4 hrs, approx) from Guwahati airport, covering an area of 430 sqkms, is inhabited by the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds. In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment. Evening visit tea garden nearby the park. Overnight stay in a resort in Kaziranga.
An early wake-up, you will be taken to the riding point in the Central Range (Kohora) for an Elephant Ride (On Direct Payment Basis). Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on the back of the Elephant. Apart from the Rhino, other species found are Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants and if you are lucky then tiger also. It is also home to pelicans, storks, and darters as there are a number of water bodies inside the Park. After the ride returns back to the Resort. Later, have breakfast, and get transfer to Shillong, also known as ‘The Scotland of the East is the capital city of Meghalaya. En route, you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake. Reaching Shillong after 6 hours journey (approximately), check-in at a city Hotel. After freshening up visit the Cathedral of Marry & the Polo Ground. Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Police Bazaar in Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
This morning after breakfast, get transferred to Cherrapunjee, explore Cherrapunjee which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. After a drive of 2 hours amid pine trees and mists, reach Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee, also known as Sohra, is a high-altitude town in the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. It's known for its living root bridges, made from rubber trees. To the northeast, Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point overlooks verdant gorges. In the surrounding hills, the Noh-Kalikai, Dain-Then, and Kynrem waterfalls plunge from forested clifftops. South of town, Mawsmai Cave is illuminated to show its stalagmites. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. In Cherrapunji, visit the Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park, Seven Sisters falls, Ram Krishna Mission, and the Thangkharang Park. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Wake up early and have your breakfast and drive to Mawlynnong. Today you can explore the cleanest village Mawlynnong in Asia. Spectacular view of the living Root Bridge. After lunch, drive to Dawki. Dawki is the gateway to Bangladesh where major export and import transactions take place. it is a splendid drive of 45 kilometers passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. On approaching Dawki is the Umngot river, the Umngot river is the natural boundary between Ri Pnar or Jaintia Hills with Hima Khyrim of Khasi hills over which is a single-span suspension bridge was constructed. Later back to Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.
Today after Breakfast, visit Word’s Lake, Golf Course, Lady Hydari Park, Don Bosco, Museum, St. Cathedral Church along with Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls. Later, transfer to Guwahati, which is a sprawling city beside the Brahmaputra River in the northeast Indian state of Assam. It’s known for holy sites like the hilltop Kamakhya Temple, featuring shrines to the Hindu deities Shiva and Vishnu. To the east, 18th-century Navagraha Temple is an astronomical center with planetary shrines. Umananda Temple, dedicated to Shiva and covered with engravings, stands on Peacock Island in the river. Evening DJ Cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra (subject to availability/direct payment basis). Overnight in Guwahati. Overnight stay at the Hotel.
After breakfast visits the Umananda Temple, Assam State Museum. Later, transfer to Guwahati Airport or Railway station for the onward journey TOUR ENDS WITH UNLIMITED MEMORIES.
