Tip: Best visited in the morning before clouds roll in for the clearest views.

2. Elephant Falls

Just a short drive from Shillong Peak, this three-tiered waterfall is framed by lush greenery and is one of the most visited waterfalls in Meghalaya. The falls were named by the British after a rock shaped like an elephant (now fallen), and each tier presents a unique visual.

Easy staircase descent allows access to all levels of the falls.

3. Ward’s Lake

An artificial lake surrounded by a botanical garden, perfect for a leisurely stroll or paddle boating. It's a great place to relax, watch locals feed the fish, or enjoy a coffee in the lakeside café.
